You do not need to know many technical terms before choosing a Thangka. You may be drawn to a particular expression, color, or form, or you may be looking for a work to accompany yourself or someone important over time.

Tell us what you notice. We can select several works from current availability and compare them with you at an unhurried pace.

What You Can Tell Us

• The reason for choosing: for yourself, as a gift, for a collection, or for a particular space.
• What first caught your eye: a subject, color, form, or an atmosphere that is difficult to put into words.
• Wearing or display: whether you hope to wear it regularly or place it on a desk, in a study, or in a quiet room.
• Timing and destination: whether there is an important date, and where the work will be going.

Looking at Works Together

We will consider subject, composition, color, and form, then prepare several works in a similar direction with additional photos, dimensions, and notes on how they appear when worn. You can take your time and do not need to decide quickly.

For a Meaningful Gift

If the work is intended as a gift, you can also tell us about the recipient, your relationship, and when you hope the gift will arrive. Packaging and presentation will be considered together with the work itself.

The Final Choice Is Personal

Private Selection is not about deciding for you. It is a way to slow the process down and look more carefully. The right work often becomes clearer after returning to it more than once.
